In the Wild

“Did I ever tell you the story about the eagle I saw in Alaska?” he said.

“We were stopped at a view point admiring the scenery. Along comes one of these million-dollar motorhomes, towing a car, Texas plates I believe.

They pull up in front of us, and a set of those electric stairs emerge from the cab.

Unleashed, one of those little white poodle-doodle dogs comes out to do its business.

Well, as fast as I am telling you this story –

an eagle swoops down, grabs the dog in its claws, and flys away. Just like that.

The woman is screaming for her dog, pulling her hair, crying, and all we can do is watch the bird fly away. Little legs scrabbling about. And that’s it.

No more doggie.”
